I love your collage, you are very talented! Very nice meeting you and I'm so grateful you came to visit. I don't wear my fur coats anymore because some how, I don't like them now and I have coats, stoles etc. Maybe my daughters will like them. Around 15 days ago, on a trip to my hometown NYC; a man screamed at me in 5th. Ave., saying that he could live a year from my coat, instead of me buying a killed animal sold for profit"! I was so ambarrassed, let me tell you! Of course, this doesn't happen where I live, but I just lost the love for furs. Have a good week. FABBY
Oh Fabby! I just hate that the haters have won this battle with you. Maybe you should make pillows or a throw for your bed so you can continue to enjoy the furs in the privacy of your home.
I have separated one of the ermine (the one used as the clasp) from my grandmother's multiple ermine (full bodies - noses and nails) wrap and used it as a scarf inside my coat collar, in NYC. I have also enjoyed her gray fox (not quite a stole size) with gray silk sash attached - as a collar for my lavender gator embossed leather coat.
Just lucky I haven't been spotted by "your" crazy guy!
Thank you so much for looking in on my blog - come again! :-)
Ah, the truly creative get going with tight deadlines!
I'm thinking of testing how the pixilation might look blown up to mural size or at least large painting size. I captured a few different color ranges while waiting, not so patiently for the tv to correct itself. (Kinda surprised I sat there upset about my recorded show for a LONG while before I began to appreciate the effect.)
That collage is great, it somehow reminds me of "Alice in Wonderland" which is fab. I really like that pixilation effect - funny when we discover something that looks so good but has actually come from "something going wrong". That really is "looking on the bright side".
Thanks so much for your lovely comment on my blog, I really appreciate it and am happy you liked my photos. Have a great week xo
Yes, like vivid camouflage. Did you see Fergie's dress she wore to the Kids Choice Awards? It wasn't pixillated, but super enlarged photo of an aquarium. Although the dress was a super tight style the print nearly hide her baby bump, lump. So cute!
Linda, Just getting to this now. Sorry it's been so crazy. Your collages are cool. I love doing that and haven't for a while. Always love seeing how you see things! Hope all is well. xx Kim
I like your collage!
ReplyDeleteAnd that is how post modern Impressionism got started...:)
ReplyDeleteBoth look great!
Thank you Ladies :-)
ReplyDeleteCheers!

I think the pixilation effect is pretty cool! I was assembling Valentine boxes about the same time you were making collages!!

Your "eye" frames an image so beautifully. Truly, you are the most interesting photographer I have seen recently!
DeleteI look forward to continuing to follow your posts. Thank you so much for coming to see mine. :-)
Sorry a bit late to come to your post - love it though, love pixillation and I notice they are using it a lot in fashion at the moment...

Things are great here - can't believe how long it has been between my posts and, surprisingly, my readership continues to grow - go figure!
DeleteIn the mean time I have been reading and following a lot of new blogs in addition to writing (just not ready for publishing).
Happy Easter!
