Antique Shopping & Sunday Brunch

Back again to Stanford Court Antiques in San Clemente, California... I stop in often for my mental health.  Hoping to get a Doctor's note to make purchases more often!

Not too big, or too small, gilt chandelier with black "wax" candles - the draped strand of crystals is added (poor choice).   Maybe around $280.

Attractive Lady Portrait - pretty pink flowers in back ground - large, nearly square canvas.  She struck me as looking a lot like actress Sada Thompson from the 1970's television show "Family".

Small (child size) cherry cupboard, raised panels.   Sweet!

$500-ish                         DesignInMyView

Mahogany i-Pad desk (right?!) or petite sofa table, how else would you use this unique piece?

Great price!

"Not Old" cut crystal or glass vase 11" high $75.

French Wine bottle, nearly 2 feet tall!

One last item before we EAT....

Massive perfection, would display the French Wine Bottle very well!

Brunch time!

Stanford Court Antiques San Clemente, California

One of my go to places for good mental health and adding to my
"ooh, wish I had this" list is Stanford Court Antiques near the top of Avenida Del Mar.
(left hand side in this view)

This photo and more information about shopping in San Clemente  HERE
Send the older kids and uninterested adults to Baskin Robbins a short stroll to the top of the block, or across the street to Schmids of San Clemente for handmade chocolates.

Now you shop fast they'll be back soon!

Recently I admired........
Very large lidded jardiniere - from Mexico

"just keep swimming, just keep swimming...."

Are you planning new kitchen cupboards or a family room addition with a bar? (you could even have it plumbed!)

Have you even dared to price having it made in solid curly maple?

Just look......

So big!  Bigger is better!

notice the pull out bread board
amazing proportions!

For a feature wall..... (like a window with a view)
Large acrylic $1250   50"x40"        (it's been here a long time)

Very pretty - doesn't need a frame

Mom has one of these on a post that we used to have on the driveway (Sherwood, OR) to tie our horses before and after a ride.

Look Mom, it's $150.

ooh, but look at that painting behind!  I may have to go back and take a closer look.

Ready for real zebra hide?

Do you love a hunt as much as I do?                        (note the tear on that front corner)

This is the second of the pair.
Swan detail in brass

Thanks for shopping with me!

Maybe next time we'll be buyers....

oh yeah!  I did get something this time.
The blue bottle.  Triangle shaped.  Our guest bath.

EFFEN Vodka and the "Easy Money" Ceramic Dog

The Hamley Steakhouse in Pendleton, Oregon for outstanding food, 1900's bank building atmosphere, and EFFEN vodka!

via EFFEN Vodka
EFFEN cucumber vodka from Holland.   After one of the Hamley "heavy pours" I find myself getting joyful and loud saying, "It's effen good vodka!"

I enjoy mixing a cucumber and jalapeno pepper martini and though, EFFEN says nothing about jalapeno heat as an ingredient, my senses (real or imagined) picked it out.... combine that with great cucumber.  YUM!

My sommeliers at Gelson's recommended I check Albertson's selection of vodkas for my new favorite. And I will!  As soon as I learn where the nearest Albertson's could be.  I mean, is.

NOPE! (Can not end a sentence with a preposition!)

As soon as I locate my nearest Albertson's.  (aah, that's better)

"Just Browsing"  take 3 minutes and enjoy the movie scene here

Rodney Dangerfield and Joe Pesci in "Easy Money" (you just gotta laugh!)

Dog I found in Stanford Court Antiques
San Clemente, CA

Movie Dog painted a bit differently,
but could be the same mold from Italy.

"No thanks, just browsing"
"Is this an odd or an end?"

"What do browsers look like?"
"Maybe I'm half browser?"

Drag the boys in your home or office over to your screen, click here, and have a good laugh!

It's summer.  It's the weekend.
It's really funny.

Cheers!  Linda   :-)
