Months and months ago, February to be precise, I could not pull myself away from this Japanese tiled sink.
At $75 I nearly came home with it... but, stopped myself (for once) in collecting another project. In this case the project would have entailed building something to house it and hiring a plumber. Phew! $75 can turn into $7500 pretty quickly.
When thrifting recently, I was immediately visually attracted to this dish. A $2 investment with no chance of additional costs!
I find myself staring at this photo every time it is used. (the blogesphere loves it!)

Stare at something long enough....
and your bamboo floor will give you its best (with the likely assistance of an undetermined moisture source), by cupping and shifting to look antique!
This project (repairs replacement) will decidedly surpass the costs of the imagined structure with a Japanese sink feature. Good thing I saved that $7500 to spend another day!

Oh NO! I don't get to HAVE the French Oak herring bone flooring.
DeleteI get to find some affordable replacement (or create a way to repair) for the moisture damaged and poorly installed bamboo planks.
